Dr. Vidyadhar Shetty

Dr. Vidyadhar Shetty is a Physician based in Mangalore, who has been exclusively treating Diabetes patients since the last 20 years. He runs the M V Diabetic Clinic located in the Kadri-Mallikata area of Mangalore.

Dr. Shetty's clinic has all the necessary equipment for diagnosing, monitoring and treating Diabetes and its associated complications, and provides comprehensive care for Diabetic patients. Dr. Shetty believes that patient education is the key to treating and controlling Diabetes effectively. He takes a holistic approach, offering guidance on food and physical exercise in addition to any medication that might need to be prescribed. Patients are counselled through printed literature, audio visual programmes and CDs on Diabetic Education, for prevention and control of Diabetes.

Dr. Vidyadhar Shetty also runs an organisation called "MODEST" (Mangalore Organisation for Diabetic Screening and Treatment). It is a charitable window of the M V Diabetic Clinic, for conducting free Diabetic camps in and around Mangalore.

Despite his busy clinical practice, Dr. Shetty makes it a point to stay updated on the latest developments in his field of specialisation, by attending Diabetes conferences in India and across the globe, including those organised by the American Diabetes Association and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Dr. Shetty has also undergone special training in Diabetes at the Joslin Diabetes Centre in Boston, USA.
